Since it will almost be 2008 and I know the 2007 maps CNDV-700HD disk came out not too long ago. How long before the 2008 maps will come out?

About a year before the 2009's.

And a year after the 2007 maps :)

when did 2007 maps come out?

I believe late May or early June 2007

would there be a z3 coming out or they just make another disk?

both probably. A z3 and an updated map disc for the older units

I haven't been here long so I'm asking, do we as a community share ISO's of the map disks? I don't condone pirating but if we all contribute to buying it then were not actually pirating since we own part of the map disk

Im down for that idea!

How do I get the 2007 maps? they will install for the Z1?

I check the pioneer site under support for the Z1 but I never see anything new.

You need to find someone who has the CNDV-700HD upgrade disc or I believe there is a torrent out there with this update.

I'm new to BitTorrent what exactly should I search for?

Another thing will it mess with anything else installed? example: address book, stored music, phone book, background pics or any of the settings?

I just read teh walk through at:

https://www.pioneernavigationupdate.com ... hrough.pdf

Once the Media number of the update is already used with a Device number of a Z1 can it be used again on a different Z1 with a different Device number?

Can I just buy my own Update CD? I assume it is expensive.

You could buy it from pioneer if you call. I called and they said they just recieved more stock. 250 bucks though!!

Posted Sep 26, 2007 · 19:05 UTC#15

$250 is too much for me.

Also there are so many files out there. Does anyone know the file size?

I am trying to d/l one now that is 2.9 GB. gonna take a long time. :(

well it is a DVD so I would say look for a pretty decent size ISO. Less then 4 gig though I'm sure. My Z2 didn't come with map disks which I'm surprised, my N2 (before it got stolen) came with 2 map disks one for east coast one for west, they were both DVDs, and yes I know it's because there's no internal HDD.

The real CNDV700HD disk is about 7 gigs. The ones you can download are probably compressed though, so who knows how big?

Posted Sep 27, 2007 · 01:32 UTC#18

Its an rar file. When I uncompress it it should be 7 gb?

Posted Sep 27, 2007 · 01:34 UTC#19

I guess. The $250 ones are about 7 gig

250 is a lot for just some maps....

I think even if you download it... you still need to have that password.... which can only be given once per media code...

where is the torrent file?

Posted Oct 03, 2007 · 15:27 UTC#22

FYI if anyone needs one burned I have a dual layer burner so I could burn it if necessary....I just need the file. :)

this sounds too complicated and i dont even know if its a good file. i dont want to take the chance of getting screwed up in the middle of an upgrade and making my Z1 useless.
