anybody get a unit that they thought might have been used?. i took a brand new unit off the shelf tonite and installed it in an 04 maxima and when i was setting it up i found a cd in the unit. never saw that before

Once or twice. Best was an alpine 9853 fresh off the truck. Opened up the box. RAdio was still sealed and everything. Install it and out comes a burned copy of And Then there Was X.

Do they test them at the manufacturer for anything? Maybe the insert and eject mechanism? That's just crazy...but yeah, was it a good CD?

no, it was some rap shit. but the funny thing was , its a cd that i've seen on one of my co-workers benches. so i figured maybe he was troubleshooting another unit with it and forgot the cd. but he still had his on his bench
