I went to get my by pass done today and when the guy was done i could watch a dvdwith the car in drive but when i pushed on the gas and picked up speed the warning massege about not viewing dvd in motion came on as well as an improper parking brake connection or somthing came up on the scree, it seems like the avic d 3 is picking up the speed pulse and not letting me watch a dvd, i dont want to disconnet the speed wire because it affects the navigational systems accuracy.

what could they have done wrong or not done at all???

The speed pulse wire will not give you that message. That wire can stay hooked up with a proper bypass. He either did not do the bypass correctly or one of his connections is bad. So either he did not move the mute wire to the other pin location, or did not ground the mute wire or the parking brake wire. If all 3 of those things are done right, the bypass WILL work. Bring it back to him and tell him to do it right.
