I have an iPhone 6 plugged into my NEX-4000 and if I try to browse any app on the iPhone 6 while plugged in the deck stops all audio. Has anyone else seen this?

You said all audio stops. Are you playing audio from the phone and it stops, or does audio from all sources stop?

Mine does the same thing.  I am not playing any audio from the phone.  When I plug my phone into the head unit, Carplay interrupts my music and switches to Carplay while turning everything else off.  I have to go back to the radio or satellite radio in order to continue listening to my music.

My 8000 does the same thing when CarPlay is enabled.

That s*cks. My 4100nex will continue playing HD radio when connecting phone. Screen switches to CarPlay, but audio continues without interruption.

That's good news, meaning a software update will likely fix this.
