4000NEX - Should Car Play work with this connection?

Hi All,

I have another thread on my issues with AppRadio and Car Play. I have done a lot more research and have a simple (hopefully) question.

Here is how my iPhone 5S is connected to my Pioneer Head Unit

Should Car Play work with this connection method?

no that will not work. It has to be lighting stright to usb1.

So essentially you cannot switch between AppRadio and Car Play without removing the head unit?
