New to this forum, wish I had found it sooner! I had my unit installed by a stereo shop about 1 year ago. I have a 2006 F-250 and an AVIC-Z1 (pre June 06). I took the unit out today to put in a new rear view camera. While I was in there I was going to connect the illumination wire so that it would switch to night mode. The installer didn't connect it. I found that he had used the TR7 trigger module to bypass. This used my illumination wire from the AVIC plug. The dimmer wire from the factory harness is not attached to anything. With this bypass, how do I connect the illumination, so that I can switch to night mode? Thanks for any help!

So I just found the sticky on adding a second TR 7. Sorry to post when it was right there. I looked forever last night and didn't see that page.
