The last version of the AVIC-8000NEX software is v1.08 from 10/14. Does anyone know if the updates to the 8100 work on the 8000?

They do, but the maps show blank, and the BT audio doesn't work (which includes Android Auto, which does its audio via BT). There is a whole long thread about ita few pages back.
