Sorry, this must have been asked before, but I can't find it. How do I turn of the radio in my 7100?

It's never really completely off. That's why there's a battery lead.
Otherwise, it's always "user" ON, when your key is ON or in ACC.
If you mean the same as when your key is OFF, you have to put a ON/OFF switch inline with the IGN lead.

Do I just turn the volume down, or pick another audio source to stop the sound from comeing through?

There is an off switch, but it only turns off all inputs, and the screen goes blank. Hit the home button, then the arrow on the right, showing all the inputs, and the last one is off. Hit the home button again and select input to turn back on.

Note that you can drag the off icon into the home button tray if it is something use use often. All these icons can be re-arranged.

On the 8100, I have to hols down the SRC button on the remote control for a couple of seconds to turn it off. Then I press the Mode button to blank the screen. Maybe it's the same on the 7100?

Really?? I didn't know you could blank the screen on the 8100! lol I have to try that tomorrow morning.
Does the 7100 come with a remote? I didnt think it did.
