Could someone please help, I've tried everything I can think of.

Just had a 8100NEX installed at a local shop.

When I connect a USB jump drive to USB1, the AV grey icon goes white and I can access it. But, no matter what I plug into USB2, the HU USB2 icon stays grayed out, I can't access it.

I want iPhone CarPlay on USB1 and a flash drive on USB2, am I missing something?

Fixed. Probably a loose connection.

Did you remember if your phone was charging?  I'm having the same problem.

Initially, the port was charging, then not. I had the shop pull the unit & check cables. You also need to be sure USB 2 is not set to Android in settings.

Just want to clarify. So you had to change the usb cable out on usb2 in order for it to start reading devices?

No. It must have been loose at the HU.

If yours isn't working, check the connections or change the cable.

It will work & does so nicely.
