Does anyoen know how to find the closest location of a group of places? like if i search for mcdonalds in san diego and it comes up with like 10 but how do i know which is the closest to me instead of clicking on each one and seeing how many miles it is to get there?

Not Really. But you can select fast food and it will give you all the restaurants in this category by range.

Note that the range is a straight circle line from you are. The system is not enough intelligent to give you places only in front of you. It might require u-turns! lol

This issue has been reported before.

The D3 cannot utilize the same functions as the Z1/Z2.

You cannot do a POI search and then sort by "Dist" or "A-Z".

I.e. You search for "McDonald's Restaurant" and you see 4,000. When you select the list, you have no idea where the closest one is to you. You have to go to "Vicinity Search" and then choose restaurant chains, and find it there. If it isn't close and/or it isn't listed, then you are kind of up shit creek. You COULD specify the City, but it really sucks.

I think this is on Pioneer's list of things to address for you D3 people.

go to vicinity search and click on the little icon to the right of the checkbox for fast food and it will list the different chains then you can check off mcdonalds and hit ok and will list the ones around you sorted by distance
