I don't have the iPod connection hooked up any more. I use a hard drive for my music.

Your hard drive connection is USB... right?
iPod connection is what... USB???
I understand your USB A female connector may be concealed. But you're the one asking the question. AFAICT, you cannot download tags to anything other than an iDevice.

My hard drive is USB to USB 3.0 Micro B

So you have to get behind the dash to the USB A connection. Short of that, you may be able to purchase a couple adapters...
