Help, I had my z1 installed a few days ago and I'm just trying it out for the first time. I noticed the navi voice and beep button sound doesn't work. I hear radio and other audio fine (ipod) but nothing from the navi voice guidance/beep.

What can this be? I put the volume level on settings high for voice and beep. I called Pioneer and they said it might be that the installer didn't plug in the front two channels. He also said it might be that the voice chip might be defective!!!! No! I hope it's not...can any of you calm me by sharing positive feedback? Any info is good, thanks!

The nav voice guidance and beep all come through the front speakers. Either through the left, right or both (settable in the AV settings section). You can also program it to go through a seperate speaker dedicated for that feature, I don't know how to do that since I don't have one. It might need to be installed to see that option. But yes, the front speakers need to be hooked up to hear those. Are you sure they are? Sure they didn't split the rear speakers to all 4 of yours?

I hope they did do that or else I'm going to have to send it over to pioneer for a defective issue. This installer installed many pioneer navs and I'm just baffled by this........thanks ducati...i'm going to be ordering the bypass thing after I get this annoyance outta the way.

I had the same problem, Pioneer even sent me a new Unit. I find out that when they installed my Z1, they did not connect the Front Speaker Cable. After they connected it. It fixed my problem. So, I guess, your problem is just a they did not connect the Front Speaker Channel. :P

Can't you turn those off in your settings? I need to look to be sure. You might check all your settings to make sure everything is turned on...

I just went in my car earlier today to check if there was a mute button and found out to my surprise that now there is no sound on radio nor cd or anything at allll.......... what can it be???

I called pioneer then they said to push the reset button and if nothing happens to check if it might be the factory amp ( i have a chrysler 300c)

They said to have them connect the head unit to other speakers in their store to check if it's the unit or factory amp!

Ugh!!!
