I had a new 8100 professionaly installed in a 2007 Miata. When I connect by USB or Bluetooth , the 8100 will play from 10 to 20 minutes and then drop the device. This is happening on 2 separate iOS devices (iPod and iPhone 5). Thoughts? I haven't installed any upgrades to the 8100 since buying it in August.

There has been a couple of firmware updates since August. Your unit should be at 1.05 version. Go to Pioneer website, find the 8100 page to get the latest version. That might help the issue.
