Anyone know if its possible to get rid of the dust under the screen?  Is it relatively easy to take apart the screen?

I'll second that request for help, I have a ton of dust under my screen too.  

If anyone has a service manual showing how to remove the front glass, it'd be much appreciated!

I had my front face glass/plastic replaced last yr and have this aswell. I will likely wait till the front is scratched enough and replace again.

Pretty amazing Pioneer can produce a near $1000 unit and the POS is not sealed against dust intrusion. This is my second pioneer unit with the same problem I went from the 7500 to the 8500 and still the same garbage dust getting behind the screen makes it look horrible and cheap.  No more pioneer units for me I'm done with this crap company.

this year they released new parts for 8400/8500
to solve this problem
