newbie, dumb question i'm sure, but i don't have my box with me at my house.

can the serial number be located on the z-1 unit somewhere? i tried looking but i'm not seeing it on any of the menu buttons.

i wanted to register my product

do i need to get it on the box?

Mine had a serial number on the box but the only way to be sure is to look at the serial number listed on the outside of the head unit case. This means pulling the radio out. As far as I know there is no way to pull that number up on the display screen. Sorry about having to give you bad news!!
