I've had my Avic D3 for about 6 months now. I have an 80 gig ipod connected, along with a rear view camera. It's a February model. And I now find myself pretty damn frustrated at the amount of problems I've had with it:
A) Ever since I've had the unit my custom background images will occasionally just disappear for no reason. Happens every few weeks. And the most recent I actually caught happen. As I was driving my cel phone rang, I heard the "somebody's cel phone is about to ring" noise coming thru my speakers, then my unit shut down, went completely blank, music stopped, and reset itself, while I was driving.
I got my first randomly resetting my GPS location to LA a couple of weeks ago. I reset it a few times but it always returned stuck dead center in LA. Then for some reason a couple of days ago, it started working fine again.
C) And now, as of a few days ago, my volume knob will only adjust volume if I pull back on it.
Time to write Pioneer.
