Im going to install my avic d3 in my 2004 isuzu rodeo soon but i need some help with the pac swips. it says "connect a 5100-ohm resistor across the interface's white and black wires. connect pin #11 (brown wire) to chassis ground." how exactly am i supposed to connect the resistor? also, where is the vss located in my car? any other vehicle specific advice will be much appreciated.

simply solder or butt connect it to the ground that you are using for the d3

as long as it is a good chassis ground

as far as where to get that resistor if its not in the pack then try radio shack. for vss you can check rostra.com or the12volt.com

i have checked those sites but they dont have a 2004 rodeo, only a 2003 and im not sure if its the same or not. i have the resistors, they did come in the pack, but i dont know how to connect the white and black wires with the resistor. it says im supposed to connect the white wire to my car so i dont understand where the resistor goes to connect the black and white wires. does it connect to the wires themselves or into the pin slots where the wires are. im pretty confused haha.
