I just istalled the Z1 on my 03 Element. The problem is that I hear no sound coming from the CD or Media Library even though the is a cd in the slot and files in the library. However I do hear sound when I select AM or FM stations.

Any idea on what the problem might be.

Make sure you have the bluw wire set to remote not antenna. It sounds like your factory amp is shutting off when it goes to cd. the blue wire when set to antenna only has power on am/fm.

I went ahead and did a complete reset of the system and it seemed to fix the problem. I guess while I was installing and testing the HU, I must inadvertently set something incorrectly.
