Possible problem with upgrade image???? (With NavTraffic)

So, i just did the upgrade using the bypassed version of the Z2... i only restored the first 2 partitions. Everything went silky smooth great! I applied the update from Pioneer afterwards. No problems, bypass still works fine.

All seems to work very well, except for NavTraffic. NavTraffic will work great for about 20 minutes and then it goes bye-bye (as if i did not have it at all, buttons grey out, etc...)

I tried reseting the XM unit, still same problem...

There is at least one other person in this forum that is experiencing the same exact problem....

Please, anyone that has done the upgrade and has NavTraffic, please chime in!! positive or negative....

I've had that sporadically before and after the upgrade/bypass. Navtraffic works by only downloading traffic info for near where you are, eventually I think something gets screwed up and it thinks "I'm at location XXX, waiting for traffic info with that location...oh, i see A, ignore, I see B, ignore," etc. It knows what it's waiting for at first, but then forgets.

That's the best I can explain my theory.

not the same problem as i've seen sporadically with NavTraffic as well. This sympton ONLY started after upgrade and is very predicatable no matter where i am. 20 minutes after it starts, NavTraffic goes bye-bye.

This particular behaviour had never happened to me before. The only thing that happens sporadically is that XM will not send the traffic info for some time (in my area) and therefore i don't get an update... This is DEFINETLY due to the upgrade, but why? been using NavTraffic daily for about 1 year now and this behaviour is brand new and very predictable and only started after the upgrade.

Additional Info....

On my way home last night, still stopped almost exactly 20 minutes/miles into it....

Got home, opened the Z1/2 Service Menu... The Error logs where quite full of entries, non of which seemed to point to anything i could put my finger on (might as well been a core-dump)... I then cleared all the logs i could find...

This morning the Navtraffic made it all the way to work without failing. The clearing of the logs *MAY* have had something to do with it, but coud be purely coincidental... the only reason i bring it up is because clearing the logs seemed to have helped other folks in the past to fix erradic behavior... Who knows, just another datapoint... also don't know if the NavTraffic is now fixed or not, only time will tell.

I got the same problem. Worked great after I reset the unit using the reset hole in the front.

so, must have been the reset, and not the log-clear....

So far, my commute home was also 100% by NavTraffic.... hopefully the problem is licked!

Thanks.

Reset what? The NavTraffic unit or the Z1/Z2?

first i tried a reset of the XM/Navtraffic unit.... no luck. Then the reset of the head unit (by going into the service menu).... That seemed to do the trick.
