Pioneer NEX very slow & buggy. How to fully reset unit?

Hey all,

I own 2 units. 5000nex & 5100nex.

The 5000nex is working wonders.

The 5100nex is lagging & crashing so often it's pathetic.

What I have tried:

- reset from the settings (gear icon). no luck.

- reset from the testmode through a USB stick. no luck

How can I fully re-install the OS? I wonder if it could be a software problem

Is it cold?? My dad's 3700BHS is really sluggish and crappy until it's warmed up.

We sent my dad's radio back for warranty repair. They repalced a board and resistor. No more sluggish or unresponsive behavior in cold weather.
