Will they work? I read on here (well i think i did) they they should work. However, when my D3 turned up from the states and i tried the genuine europe dvd it keeps saying "Please Insert Appropriate Disc". I then have to turn it off and on again to get the disc out. Will it work if I make a backup of the disc? Perhaps region coding of some sort?

The firmware won't let you put in different disks. I would try and figure out how to get into the service menu and see if you can reflash it to your disks. No promises though

Since they didn't design the FM tuner to work over there either, its very possible

Except that if you don't get RDS, you don't get TMC trafic info..
