Hi guys:

Just wondering if there is a way to turn of the woman's voice BEFORE the beep that asks you to say voice command. Meaning, once you press the VC button, you have to wait for the woman to stop talking before you say each command. I'd rather just hear the little beep since I am now familiar with what she is going to say. Is there any way to do this?

I don't even have my Z1 installed yet and I can already anticipate this being annoying. Can you cut her off, or do you have to wait for her to finish talking.

We really need to find a solution to this if it exists.

If you turn off the sound for navigation directions by touching the speaker icon at the bottom of the map screen you will no longer hear the voice requesting voice commands.

But you still have to wait for her to finish speaking before you can give the command right? I was pretty sure I tried that as her voice makes the voice command system almost completely useless to me.

Yup...you have to wait for the VC icon to switch from 'X' to )).

I really hope we can figure out how to manipulate the code base to get rid of "features" like that.

Quick question, how long does this woman speak before you can, and what does she say? Is it really long?

It's probably 2 seconds (4 at the most). I didn't think it was that big of a deal.

It's not a long time to wait for one command, but if you're going three or four menus deep you might as well just touch the screen two times to complete the same process.
