So I bought a 6200NEX from a guy at work who took it out of his truck to sell for some extra cash. No it isn't stolen, I knew he had it and I offered to buy it when he said he needed some money. He bought the truck with the radio in it and he never received the password. Pioneer says I can ship it to them to get the password reset for $80 and but I pay shipping to get it there as well so potentially around $100 total to reset this thing.

Is there a way to reset this password at home? Would really like to save the $100.

New to modern Pioneer Nex units here, can you give me a little instruction on how to do this?

Is there anyone who can give me a more step by step on how to do this? I am a newbie so I will need someone to hold my hand through this haha

Not sure if i should post this, but I found it other places.

when it asks you for the password, enter (space bar) (spacebar) SERVICE (space bar) PASS (space bar) OFF(space bar)

After that, press down on the top left next to the word password for about 5 seconds. Then a message should pop up saying that the unit has been unlocked.
