I've joined the list of people on this forum who have had their vehicle battery die, and my AVIC-6000NEX is now prompting me for a password (interestingly, I don't believe I ever enabled password protection or set a password when I installed this then-brand new unit a couple years ago, but I suppose that's irrelevant under the circumstances).  

 

I've followed some of the suggestions in other posts on this forum and managed to boot the unit from the testmode_a.key on a USB drive, and have been able to use File Maintenance to browse the filesystem, but from there I'm a bit lost as to what file(s) I'm looking for to retrieve or reset the password.  Any detailed assistance that can be provided via PM or otherwise would be much appreciated - I'm hoping to avoid paying Pioneer or anyone else money to resolve this if at all possible.
