Someone gave me an avic f90bt missing the GPS antenna and microphone, they didn't know much about it. I wired it to a 12v plug red and yellow to one side and black to the other, it seems functional however the System settings option logo and some others are greyed out and unaccessible. Is that normal? I'd like to make sure it is fully functional and without problems plus do any software updates before I spend the money on accessories and the time installing it into my car. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You might be able to ground the green wire and see the greyed out settings. If not you may have to move a pin in the harness and then ground the green wire.

Thanks that worked! It appears as though the bypass has been done, the green wire is connected to the yellow/black wire and the harnesses run into each other, does that sound right? How would I connect that during actual installation, right to the ground? Thanks
