D3 Manually entering phonebook / speeddial list names?

My cell doesn't support bluetooth data communication of any form. (headset and handset profile only)

Its easy enough to manually enter a phone number on the D3, then store it as a speed dial, but is there any way to enter a name for it? Or better yet, to load a contact list, say off of CD/DVD?

Well crap.

Ok trying another way, is the phonebook stored in the unit global, or per phone? For example, could I load the phonebook from a Razr, then access it from my SuperSlice? (the latter is the one that doesn't support BT transfer)

My thoughts exactly. But didn't work for me. New phone, empty speed dials.

I couldn't believe this limitation either. If you are going to do that , at least have bluetooth that supports most phones. It's stupid. If Pioneer is reading this, update this with the next firmware update.
