Has anyone tried this combo yet? I'm getting this phone and want to know if people have gotten these two to work together. Thanks.
BTB200 and Blackberry 8830?
Ok anyone actually wondering about this....It does work. Picked up the phone yesterday and I can transfer my address book all at once and auto connects.
just picked up the 8830 today. paired ok with the BTB200 and D3 but could not get phonebook to transfer. there wasn't even a phonebook graphic on the screen. ![]()
anybody have any suggestions?
Everything seems to work except the voice commands. They work on the phone, but not the BTB 200 and D3.

how? i get a message saying cannot connect to push server?
you need to register your phone first.. read the BTB200 manual on how to do that.. once it is registered its easy to transfer the book.

Any update on the voice commands? does it work?
Do you recommend this BB with the BTB200

Phone registered in position 1 on my D3. Phonebook transfer failed using my 8830WE. Any ideas?
What version OS are you running on your BB?
I have the 8830 world edition on Verizon Wireless, and i was able to register the phone, transfer the address book in it's entirety in one shot, and use the voice commands.
I think it's unfortunate that when I have several phone numbers for one contact, it doesn't differentiate them. (i.e. home, mobile, office, fax). It just labels them as c1, c2, c3, c4. I have full contact info for all 400+ of my contacts, and it's impossible to tell if I'm calling their office, or mobile, or worse yet, their fax machine.
Other than that, it's great.
one other thing, if you rename a contact, it doesn't follow over to your presets, another slight frustration.

You know what bluetooth version you have?
I don't...if you tell me where to look I will be more than happy to check for you.

Should be in the settings profile and then the about submenu. Should bring up all different types of version of the java your running and OS etc...
Hey all I'm hoping i can get some help here.
I just installed my D3 into my car last night with the bluetooth module and I was able to register my phone, I can make calls no problem, but I can't transfer the phone book. I have a Sprint Blackberry 8830.
When I try starting the address book transfer from the AVIC-D3, it just disconnects the bluetooth and doesn't seem to do anything.
When I try starting it from the phone, it sits for a while and comes up with an error: "Unable to location Object Push Server. See the manual for your Bluetooth handsfree device" on the phone. I tried searching google for this but didn't come up with much.
Any help would be appreciated! I am a computer guy, so this is frustrating the crap out of me! ![]()

Just got my D3 installed yesterday with the BTB-200 and I'm getting the same error message. I've got a Blackberry 8310. Any help would be appreciated.
I dunno if its the same as he 8830 but this is what I had to do.
First, register the phone with the AVIC-D3. After that, go onto the AVIC and click Transfer Address Book. When you click that it will disconnect your phone from the AVIC. Go on your phone now and go into your Bluetooth menu and you should have a listing for Pioneer BT unit. Click the Menu on that and then go down to Transfer Phone Book and select that. It will go through and transfer everything over.
