I'm sure this has already been covered, but I wasn't able to find it doing a search. I also posted in another forum, and haven't received a response.

I'm looking to install a back up camera in my 06 F-250 with the Powerstrok Desiel. I have an AVIC-D3 alread installed. The truck used to have an in-dash 6 CD changer in it. It's my understanding from reading this forum, that the reverse wire I need to tap into is in the radio harness, if there was an in-dash changer.

Can anyone tell me what color the reverse wire is and how to locate it on a 2006 Ford F-250 with a Powerstroke Desiel? Thank you in advance!

its not in the radio harness, your thinking of the speed sense

Reverse Light black/pink + back of fuse box, black 8 pin plug

I took the fuse box out and I don't see a black 8 pin and the only black/pink I can see is in the 6 pin black but shows 12 volts all the time w/ ign on

Since you are running wires for the camara in the back of the truck, run one more to the reverse light. Will be the wire that is not black at the light.
