I won a refurbished N2 head unit off eBAY with no brain. I wasn't worried because there were several auctions for just the brain. Found this site and saw that you could use the N3 brain with N2 HU and have the holy grail of ipod interfaces that my AVH P6500DVD does not seem to have. So I quickly won an N3 brain. Now when I came back to this site, I noticed that you're supposed to upgrade the HU to N3 and then connect the N3 brain. Am I being screwed or is it just a breeze behind there?

I am pretty sure that you so need the 70 series disks, you can find them around on the net to download, if you need I have the 70 disk, but it is the west disk, if you need it let me know, I can mail you a copy if you can cover the cost of the disk and postage

So all I have to do is get the 70s disk. That shouldn't be a problem. Then I don't need to have an N2 brain before i can attach the N3? That was my biggest concern since I did not want to have 2 brains! One is hard enough to hold on to.

I had the update before I upgraded my brain, so I am not sure, I would put the new disk in asap when starting it up for the first time to be safe, someone else may have done what you have done, so wait for more replies, good luck!
