I am not sure if this is the right place for this but here goes.

I have the D3 and i recently got the BTB200 for my phone. I love it and it works great, but i am having one kind of annoying problem.

I put alot of numbers into my phonebook on the BTB so that when someone calls me i know who it is. Some of the numbers have a 1 in front of them (ie. 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx) and some dont (xxx-xxx-xxxx).

The problem is that the BTB doesent recognize these as the same numbers. So when someone calls me sometimes the number that calls me is 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx and sometimes the number is xxx-xxx-xxxx. So it is pointless for me to change the numbers in my phonebook to either have a 1 or to not because the incoming call number keeps changing.

Is there anyway to make the BTB recognize the same phone numbers that have a 1 in front of them and ones that dont?

sorry for the long post and i hope it makes sense. thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

I'm blonde, but if I understand you right- you are asking it to recognize two separate numbers as in 1+ or without the 1 as being the same? I don't see how you would expect it to know they are the same if it consist of a different number (ie 1+).

Have you tried pushing your phone book contacts with the names with those different numbers and just slightly changing the name?

example Fred1 1 xxx xxx xxxx

fred xxx xxx xxxx

well that is part of my problem...but why is it that sometimes when someone calls their number starts with a 1 but sometimes it starts with just their area code?

if this is always like this, then how come my cell phone can recognize the difference between a number that has a 1 in front of it and doesent.

and yes i could just have both stored but slightly changed but i dont want to have to have double the contacts stored on the BTB.

is anyone else with the BTB having this problem?

I get ya. Sorry, never noticed that, but I don't have that kind of issue with those type of calls.

I have a krazr, and there has never been a 1 before a number on my caller id. I just pushed all my contacts in 10 digit format and the caller id always works. Not sure why you are getting a 1 from your service provider

Me too. Are these numbers with a 1 before them from an 800 number or a credit card company or something? On my phone, all incoming caller id is either 7 or 10 digits. Never seen one with 11

no they are the numbers of my girlfriend, dad, landlord etc..

its weird, sometimes their number will show up with no one sometimes it will show up with a one

and the really weird thing is that when someone calls me and i dont have their number in my phone and not connected to bluetooth, i only get the standard 10 digits
