So I just came to understand the unit doesn't do the surround processing (5.1) processing internally and you have to buy the DEQ-P8000, Guide Speaker and AXM-P8000... and then you can't control the volume with the controls on the main unit.

Is anyone using a different processor?

I looked at the AXM-P8000 and it appears it takes up a single din vs just a faceplate.

I don't have any more space to take up a DIN.
