Ok, let me start out by saying. This is normally in my 2006 mustang. We are going out of town so we swapped it over to our 2006 Ford explorer. I cut the speed sensor wire from the mustang so I didn't have to undo all the wiring. Anyways, We found the speed sensor wire in the explorer, tapped into it and used wire I had to connect to the pink wire of the D3 harness. But the speed does not match? What could be causing this. Does the wire I used to extend have to be the same gauge as the pink wire? Please let me know, thanks a lot

Did you reset the learning status' when you moved it to the second car? Probably the problem

Thanks alot. I didn't try that. How do I go about doing this?

Also, do I "NEED" to attach the reverse wire to function correctly just for the trip?

You don't NEED to use the reverse wire or the speed sensor wire. It will work fine without it. Especially if it's only going to be in there temporarily.

And to reset the learning status, just press the reset button. It's the little round pinhole button on the top left of the unit's face. (NOTE: The unit has to be hooked up to the power supply for the reset button to work)
