I don't want anything on my old drive. Can I buy a new drive, put the files on it, put it in the z1 and be done? I don't want to pay extra for the unlock unless absolutely required.

Also, any advantages to the ebay kits?

yes you can just get a new drive

ebay kits well if ur lazy then its ezy

I have a Z1 and just purchased a MK3029GACE (supposably from a new Z2) for the updated maps, however when I place the drive into my Z1 the screen says "This HDD cannot be used". Any ideas why this is occuring?
