I just bought a used N1 off someone and 1. for some reason the buttons and the touchscreen dont always work. They only work sometimes.

2. Do i need to splice into my vss? I didnt splice into it because i dont even know what wire it is.

Call Pioneer and see if the flex ribbon cable was changed yet for that serial #. Pioneer is offering a one-time flex ribbon replacement repair for N1's and N2's.
