I have to say, I'm a bit confused.... Just today I've been searching around trying like hell to figure out why my Iphone doesn't play sound...

http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jsp ... &tstart=45

I honestly don't even know if my adapter works with any Ipod for that matter, as the only person I know with an Ipod has seemed to have lost it.

and this doesn't make sense to me?

14. I can control my XM/iPod adapter but I'm getting no sound, what gives?

You have your ipbus cables backwards, reverse them. If that doesn't work make sure your positive and ground wires to the XM unit are attached properly.

Anyway, why is this guy saying that you can hook the video cable up to the Z1's AUX port to get video?

I know that the 1.1.1 update now supports video out, but I don't think there is a cable just yet?

You can buy the Apple cable that outputs through Audio(red and white) and Video(yellow) RCA cables. Run those into the A/V input on the head unit, turn on the A/V input in the head unit menu, and you should be good to go. Keep in mind though, you have no control of the ipod from the deck this way, and will need another way to charge it

Bought my Z2 last week and I love it. Just two issues that I need help with: First, since the new vid ipods will only work with Apple's AV component cable, is there an adapter or something else available to make the vid ipod compatible with the z2? And, is there a wiring harness that is more compatible with the bose/onstar system (I've lost front to rear fade capability)?
