I seem to remember hearing that they changed the video out on the latest release of video units. I just got an ipod touch and I heard that the old way of outputting video doesn't work (don't have a cable and didn't try it) and the new cable has a computer chip in it to do the video out. So this cable might not work if your video is too new, don't know about the iphone, being close to the ipod touch, it might not.

Yep. Should be fine on the Video (30 and 80 gig.) Not good to go on the iphone, new gen Nanos, or Classics

mazdaspeed, I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out why my IPhone doesn't work with the Ipod module(CD-iB100ii). Everything seems to work, it skips tracks and is playing. But no sound. I've tried a friend's Iphone as well, with the same results. I've even read of others with the same problem with Nano's.... Of course I would blame Apple first.

did you try regular ipod ?
mine works fine but i have old firmware on mine cus im hacking my iphone

No, the only person I know that has a regular Ipod, has seemed to have lost it. There are no Apple stores here, only retail shops. I tried to see if ATT had another Iphone to try out. But they had thei display models on a security leash. I guess my next step is to maybe try a place like Circuit City that sells car audio as well as Ipod stuff. And see if they'll let me try one out.
I'm trying to hold off on hacking until Apple releases MMS and Video(if they do)...and after the 1.1.1 bricking, I'm kinda glad I have, as now I know that hacking is a no-no in Apple's eyes. But I have tried it with every firmware so far. Are you on 1.0.2?
