Hello folks. I have a virgin Z1 that was freezing at startup on occassion. I think it was due to the heat. I had a flasher wired in as a bypass. It always worked fine. I used the disk that Pioneer sent me to upgrade the Z1 to cure it's freeezing up issues and now my bypass no longer works.

Am I stuck now? Is there a way to restore my Z1 to it's old operating condition? Or is there a bypass that will work with this new upgrade that Pioneer sent out?

You need to do the 2-wire method of bypass. Detailed instructions can be found in the stickies at top of the hacks/mods section

Thanks. I printed out the instructions and will do so. I'll take the flasher out and do the 2 wire bypass and see what happens. I'll report my results back or other people to see. Thanks again!
