Alright, the Z1 has been out for what, 2 years? The Z2 for almost a year? WHAT IS THE FUCKING HOLDUP FOR A BETTER INTERFACE?!

iPod Issues:

-IMPOSSIBLY slow to access database items. Scrolling takes forever and is a bad interface anyway. Perhaps buffer the whole hierarchy, hmmmm?

-No QWERTY search?!

-No album art

-No ratings

-20 second "back to home", so even if you find something you want, but aren't ready for it, the menu disappears.

-Duplicate information on screen. Two places for artist, song name, album, and time. WTF for?! Clean it up!

-Disgusting aesthetics on the button control. Gigantic Play/Pause button and just a non intuitive layout. This may be a limitation of the A/V programming interface, as it is reflected in all touchscreen control, in which case, GET A NEW ONE!

MP3 CD Complaints:

Many of the same complaints as above, but additionally, should be able to read mp3s from a DVD. Oh, and ID3v2.4 is entirely unsupported. Thanks!

I don't use the built in hard-drive, so I can't comment on the functionality of that, but I assume it's similar to reading MP3s from a disc. And that brings me to another complaint, we NEED the ability to load MP3s from a data cd. It's not pioneer's responsibility to make sure we've actually purchased the songs, and it would speed up copying to the hard drive immensely. Get rid of the fucking ATRAC format, or whatever it is.

GODDAMN!

I think a HDD managment and playlist editor tool would the very best solution.

Having said that, my biggest complaint would be the lack of a USB port.

The HDD is fast. And voice command is a nice added touch to finding a song without taking your eyes off the road.

but yeah, the Ipod interface sucks pretty badly. It would be super cool to have the multi-touch and coverflow like the Iphone/Touch.
