I get no view from camera. I know it is switching the unit to the camera because it immediately changes to a black screen that says "caution, images maybe reversed" but I do not see anything.

What could cause this?

does the camera have power?

I have to believe it does. I wired the hot and ground wires. And I have the rca jacks hooked up

Try plugging the RCA into @ A/V in & check if you got a bad camera.

this is exactly what happened to my d1, and it still happens intermitently, i dont know why, maybe a compatibility issue? i dont know. i changed out the camera, and the problem still exisists. i wish someone could figure this out. i have the audiovox license plate camera as well
