I've got the illum wire hooked up to the GMOS harness for my 07 GMC 2500HD. Problem is the hardware profile on the illum does not change when the lights go on and off. Not to mention when I go into the settings to put it on "nightime" mode it doesn't even change then. I'm sure there is something I'm doing wrong. Please help... Also, can anyone recommend a good noise filter for my BU camera? Only get ghosting when truck is running, faint horizontal lines running thru display...
Illumination problem with 2500HD...yes another...
reprogram the gmos interface by having the car on for 3 mins off for 3 mins, disconnect the battery for 15 mins and then hook the battery back up and turn on. this process fixed the acc acting up on the volks metra harness maybe it will help you
It is my understanding that even though there is an ill wire right there at the GMOS it has no functionality. I have a GMOS-04 in my Tahoe and i had to go over to the headlight switch to make my work.

Did that hookup to the headlight switch work. I hooked my illumination on my D3 to the switch that dims and it did nothing. My hardware settings still show there is no change whether the lights are on or off.
Anyone have any ideas? This is an 07 GMC Sierra 2500HD Classic...
I'm totally stuck.
try touching the illum wire to +12v with the car and unit on and see if it switches if not, you may have a bad unit if it does you prob used the wrong wire

I think I've got it. The brightness has to be adjusted by turning the wheel up or down just like I would for the dash lights. I thought it would automatically do it when the auto lights came on but it doesn't....
