i have hooked up i pod interface cd-ib100ii to my 03/06 production z1 and i get NOTHING. No charge, no sound, no pioneer display on ipod and i pod can not be selected in the source screen. at first i thought it was the interface box so i returned it, installed a second interface box and still nothing. all my connections are there and properly placed. i have a 60GB video i-pod with software version 1.1.1.

I installed an A/V cable so i have something but i would love to use the interface.

please help. thanks.

I would check your power, ground, and P-bus connections again

i have removed and installed this thing three times. Pwr and GND are good. i have tried different p-bus cables. i have swapped interface boxes. the guys at car toys said the head unit might just be bad.

Have them try your ipod adaptor out on their display Z2 to test it

hit the pwr and grnd with a meter, really sounds like no power is getting to the unit. also, don't mean to sound like an ass, but if you hooked it up to the ignition, make sure the key is on. i've seen my fair share of stupid problems by professionals, so...

i have it hooked up to the constant 12v and ground that is powering the head unit and if i test with a meter it all checks out ok. should i try reseting the head unit. if i do that what will i lose?

just resetting the unit shouldn't cause a problem, just lose your presets and whatnot. although i don't think that will solve the problem. if the ipod won't even turn on when you plug it in, have you tried plugging your ipod into something different? another unit? or a computer, just to see how it reacts?
