Any fix to the "updating" icon for folks who don't describe?

I bought the NAVTRAFFIC thinking I might activate it a couple of years from now.

Unfortunately, it constantly says updating in the upper right corner of my MAP screen.

The manual says this is normal, so there probably isn't anything I can do.

Any ideas?

What deck do you have? Try unplugging the data cable from either the XM box or the back of the deck and see if it goes away
