Hi,

Can anyone tell me how far the volume knob sticks out from the Avic D3 unit as I am just in the process of creating a cover to fit over the front, to deter thieves. I am using a standard radio front that I have buthered and am going to stick it on to a metal sheet.

I cannot use a flat sheet of metal due to the volume knob. It will have to sit just off the face itself if that makes sense.

I'd give it 1/2 or 7/16 for a little wiggle room.
