In Europe we are treated very unfairly by Pioneer. The best price on the D3 in the UK is the equivalent of $1,400. It is simillar in other countries around Europe.

This frustration has led to a number of threads on getting US models to work in Europe. We still havent had a definitive on this. I believe the questions are:

Are there any hardware differences between the US model and Europe?

If there are none, how can we get hold of the firmware / software to localise the unit for Europe?

If the units are different, how do you modify the European maps to work with the US spec units.

Please help.

I think if anyone knew, they would have posted it in those other threads. One of you may have to buy one and try it out to know for sure. If it doesn't work, find a way to return it
