When your in navigation on the z1 or z2, how do you remove that direction thing above the zoom in and zoom out. I dont use it and its dumb. I press it and it shows me the back view while im moving. Whats the point?

Did you read the manual? It's used to change the display of the map, either North always up or your direction is always up and the map rotates.

I personally tend to use both.

Not sure what you meant by "back view". It is MAP view, like if you were reading a map, North is up. I am not sure if there is a way to remove it.
