help please. i bought the scosche kit for the 2007 armada and the unit works great i got all the wires hooked up and plugged it in and love it.. BUT... IT DOESNT FIT IN THE STNKING DASH.. OMG... on all the armada forums and titan forums everyone posts pics of their installed units.. UP TO 2006... arghhh the unit is just to deep. there is a huge round support bar directly behind the unit. so i went and bought the metra kit. it helps out a tiny bit but the unit will still simply not fit. there is just no way.

how are these people doing it are they cutting that bar out? or somehow bending it in... ?? is it safe to cut that bar out? without that bar i would have been done hours ago. this is the wife's car and now she is flipping since its all torn apart.

can anyone help me out with this?? i have a second avic z2 also sitting here i bought to go in my titan after i did hers mine is also a 2007 i pulled out the radio and the same bar is there. so im out 2 units if i cant get them to fit. please someone help me out here. thanks in advance.

You will need to cut out a one inch wide slot out of the steel support brace (pipe) behind the radio fit. Very easy to do. Drill four 1/2 inch holes on left and right sides and top and bottom each side just a bit outside with of the Z2. Beg, burrow, steal or buy a mini air recouperating air saw and cut out the slot.. very easy with this saw..no more then 5 mins of cuting (for real). You will still have some support of the brace and radio fits real nice.

good luck

Sorry, both Titan and Armada will be the same... Also,, don't go with the Metra Kit.. Go with this one.... This is a factor double din for both Armada and Titan..
