SO i have everything hooked up and everything works except for the cd player anyone know why?

It all works but the sound is not comming out when i start a dvd or cd but when i have it on tuner it still works anyone know why i can't get sound with a cd or dvd

type of car and harness used would be helpful, but if i had to guess you have the antenna turn on and the amp turn on need to be switched

Yep. Sounds like you used the power antenna wire as your amp turn on. Only problem with that is that wire is only powered up when the tuner is selected as the source. Instead of using that antenna wire (the blue one on the power/speaker harness) use the system remote wire (the blue one on the RCA output harness) which is powered all the time when the D3 is on.

it is an rsx type s, but i think i might have done what you said. i will try to change that around in a few ins thx for your help i will let you know if it works.

Another thing you can do, I am not sure which unit you have, or if all of them have this, but my D3 has an option in one of the menus to change the power antenna lead to come on only when the tuner is on or whenever the headunit is on. Easier than pulling your dash apart, if it works.

Yeah, it has that as an option as well, I forgot about that.
