Kill switch for the Z2 bypass?

I saw a navi/DVD head unit(not sure which it was) that had an aftermarket kill switch on it. What I mean is that my GF and I were driving in NYC watching some concert DVD and when we came up to a toll, the driver hit a kill switch that put up the "Video is Unavailable while car is in motion" screen or something like that warning. After the toll he flipped the switch again and the video was back. The DVD kept playing though and we could hear the music.

Now im leaning towards getting a Z2 and this isnt a deal breaker, but can I do something like this with the Z2?

I guess the first question is what happens if I dont have the bypasses installed(IE the Z2 is installed according to the instructions) and then start moving? Does the DVD continue to play but just with no visual?

Now if I can do this, how would I? Im thinking that I would wire a simple on/off toggle switch between the "Wire 2" on the back of the unit and the grounding point would work. Does that sound right? Im no electronics guru or anything, but this sounds plausable.

I want to bypass everything for simplicity when Im driving, but I also want to be able to shut it down because I do alot of driving in NYC and the cops can be a PITA.

Thanks guys.

Just put a switch on the parking brake wire. One side Light Green PB wire, the other side ground

sounds like a plan. Thanks man.

Will the DVD continue to play in drive without the bypass? Or does the unit shut down?

Yes, DVD still plays regardless of switch position. Z2 has rear outs, so you could play a DVD in the front and control it while the kids in the back don't scratch the disc.
