I have an n1 head n3 hideaway unit with 60 series disc set. Will the n4 disc set work? And what does it offer over the 60 series discs.

No, you would need the CNDV70 disks for the udpated maps and POI. The disks that come in an N4 only work in an N4 or D3

Why wont the N4 disks work, according to Pioneer's website they come with CDNV-70MTP disks. Thats what everybody has been saying to download or get ahold of. The D3 comes with CDNV-70M disks. The N3 came with CDNV-60MP.
Does anyone know the significance of the lettering following the numbers?

The N4 does not come with CNDV70 disks inside. It comes with disks that say for AVICN4 and AVICD3. Open up a box and look

Tried it with an N2, they didn't work. N3 is almost identical so I doubt it will work
