look up United Radio service. they do alot of the pioneer warranty repairs.

Pioneer usually can honor the warranty by using the serial number.

I'm curious to know where you're taking your unit.... I tried to get a new hard drive, called Pioneer. Their response was that I needed to have the unit serviced by a "service center"??? WTF is that?

I do live in southern Louisiana, in which is why I install my own chit...

What kinda issues are you having with it? I read your post about the engine noise..... sounds almost like an install issue....

what was the $1300 charge for?

thats for HD, control modual chip, FM modual, main board, labor

Wow...in other words a whole new unit...geez...

I wouldn't pay it.....1300 is just flat out retarded...who are you bringing it to? Surely Pioneer wouldn't do that to their customers....being that you can get a OG unit for less....even with a warranty....

Can you bring it to anyone else...or send it to pioneer?
